Some new rules have been put forth about becoming an anamagius. The old ones were kind of unrealistic knowing that sometimes even NEWT leveled students in Transfiguration can't become one. But we won't make it that hard. The new rules are that you must be 5th Year and up, because thats when you start your OWLs. The next rule is your must be taking either a NEWT level or OWL level Transfiguartion class and be getting an O or an E.
Then to be able to preform a patronus you must be in a Defense Against the Dark Arts and be getting and O or and E.
