Severus walked out of the small, cobblestone street and into the pub before him. He normally visited the Hog's Head when he wanted a drink (less crowded and less students) but, for some reason or another, he desired a change in scenery. After heading to the bar and ordering a pint of mulled mead, he took a seat at the most secluded table he could find. As Severus waited for his drink to arrive, he watched the people in the pub talk amongst themselves.
For some reason, the sight of young people chatting made him scowl. It had always for some reason or another. Severus always enjpyed being left to his own devices, unless he was in the company of a certain someone, of course that was no longer possible. The waiter dropped off his drink and as he left, Severus swore softly to himself. He had promised he wouldn't think of such things. Those thoughts, were for people who were soft and weak. Not him...
